Thanks to all our loyal friends and customers

33years

Most of you probably know by now that Dave and I are going to sell the business. First and foremost we want to thank all of our very loyal customers for your years of support. We feel we have made many new friends.

This is very hard to do, because we enjoyed meeting all of you and working with you on your projects. This is what Dave and I thought we would spend our retirement years doing. But health issues cannot always be predicted, so we have to take another path. We are grateful for the many kind words and prayers our friends and customers extended.

For the potential buyer, this is a nice income stream for someone who has the time, dedication, and love of scrapbooking. The store is located in a strip mall outside quaint Lititz, Pa, but is yours to move wherever you choose. We have been at this location over 3 years, and have 1200 square feet packed with all the major manufactures's products to include but not limited to: All My Memories, Basic Grey, Creative Imaginations, Karen Foster, Junkitz, EK Success, K&Company, Daisy D, Provocraft, Chatterbox, We R Memory Keepers, My Minds Eye, Around the Block, and too many to list.

We are selling inventory, fixtures, web site, manufacturer list, cropping tables and chairs, bookcases, TV, computer die cutter, printers (laser and All-in-One), etc. Basically, everything it takes to run the store.

This store has 3 income streams: store and classes, on-line store, and digital services.

We are willing to give as much help as needed to get the next owners comfortable with the operation. We spent 9 months before we opened the store just researching and learning. But if we had known then what we know now - we would have jumped at the chance to buy a "Turnkey" operation like this one. "Turnkey" means that the new owner will 'Turn the Key" on the first day of business and be able to start making money right away! Imagine owning a scrapbook store without all the blood, sweat, and tears that goes into setting one up!

If you or someone you know is interested, feel free to contact us. Serious inquires only please. (If  you need the store shipped, shipping is to be paid by purchaser.)

And don't forget about our clearance sale this month. Every week we will offer discounts on selected items.

Hope to see you soon!

I can't believe summer is over - Happy Fall

Here we are in September. The weather is beautiful and I am working on Halloween, Fall and (it's hard to believe) Christmas layouts. From the scanned pictures, it's hard to tell but the new Halloween layout is a House with pictures in the windows, and a tree. Dave cut them on the die cutter, and they came out nice. So, if you are looking for some quick pages, to just add pictures to, check these out.

Halloween2_2  Halloween1

If you are on our email list, you know for the month of September, we are having an Anniversary Special,  - GIVING AWAY A CRICUT! Yes, for every $5.00, you will receive 1 ticket for the drawing. Drawing will be 1 Oct, and all sales count (regular and discounted items). Also, check out our clearance items on the back table and paper sale rack - total purchases determine how many times you can enter. The Cricut's value is $300.00. So wheter you want one or want to give one as a Christmas gift, come and save, save, save.

We Continue our Sizzling Summer Sale

It's hard to believe that June and July are over, and it's almost August. Each week in August, we will have everything with a certain theme on sale, 50% off. . This week is everything with a SCHOOL theme. Keep checking back to see what is on sale next.

I hope everyone is enjoying the summer and all the activities that come with it. We took our 2 grandsons to Lake Tobias last Sunday. That was the first time we were there. I don't know if they had fun but I know I did. We took a portable grill and had lunch there. It was one of those days that was not too hot, so it worked out. I got lots of pictures. Here is one of my favorite of my youngest grandsons, Bryce. I haven't done a scrapbook page yet but will definately use this one. I have petting zoo stickers that I think I will use.

Keep It Simple, Make It Quick, Get It done

I like this title because I'm always looking for ways to do just that.

I've done some new quick pages I want to share with you. You can see all of them on our web site under classes - Pages to Go. Use my layout as a way to get you thinking about where your pictures should go. I often see a layout I like in a magazine or on the web that I want to duplicate. So I look at their design, start laying out my pictures and embellishments,  and since I don't have the same number or size of photos, by the time I am done, I have a look that is my own. Often when I compare what I did with my inspiration layout, you wouldn't even see the similarities, but it got me started. Try it - I think you'll see how easy the pages come together. Notice, how I cut some of the die cuts - you don't have to use them as they come.  Cut them, layer them, ink them, by golly go ahead and change them! <g>

Look at the price (can't beat that!)

One more tip: print this page and store with the stickers if you are not going to do the page right away and are saving it to do at your next crop , that way if you need a memory jog (and who doesn't?) you have a starting point.

Christmas in July Sale: 9-14

Where does the time go?  I can't believe it has been a month since I posted. I hope you had a nice 4th celebration. I've been trying to turn my photos to black and white, then color specific areas. This is digital technique I've seen on the web, and wanted to try for myself. These are my grandsons and my nephew's daughter. They were so cute with the balloons.

The first one I added a calendar and made into wallpaper for my computer screen. I'd like to teach a class on how to do that. Let me know if you are interested. If I provide the digital kit, the class will probably be $25. You would get the digital kit, classroom instructions, and page ready to print (meaning 300 dpi). I would like to teach digital scrapbooking, so if you have a laptop and can round up a few friends, let me know.

We're a Changing

We making a few changes and we're happy about them.

1. We've designed a new newsletter that I hope is easier to read and more information. We used to use ListBuilder by Microsoft but that will be discontinued in June, so I was forced to look for something else. I selected Constant Contact and am very pleased with it. It only took a few hours to figure out and build the first one. I'm anxious to see what other styles are available to me. Stay tuned.

2. We have a new on-line store. Since there is no way any store can offer all the fabulous products that are available to scrapbookers,  we decided to expand on the web. Lol

visit our on-line store

We also just received some new albums (styles we haven't carried before). I already snagged one for my grandson's next album. We also got the new school paper in for Warwick, Ephrata, and Manehim. We ran out and Dave said he called those who requested notification when they arrived.

Thanks to those who purchased my Mother's Day pages and accordian album.

I've been working on a new Father's Day kit. The letters D, A, D, are cut out of chip board and then we put pattern paper over that. It gives it a nice dimension. The overlay reads "I'm so glad your my Dad". Come in and pick one. The nice things about these kits are they are not mass-produced, and when they are sold out they are gone, because I'm off creating a kit for the next occasion. So even if someone has one, by the time you include your pictures and move the embellishments around, it is a total new look, and all your own.

Dad12 Dad3

There is also a Father's Day mini accordian album you can make.

Here is my Father's Day layout from last year. I really like it because it is all the boys, father, granddads, and great-granddads from both sides of the family.  I have a Mother's Day picture with all the girls -mother, grandmas, and great-grandmas on both sides of the family, that I will do a layout of in the near future. Non of us are getting younger so I'm glad I have them.

                                                               Fathers2006

Here is my favorite summertime layout so far. I love the thought that summer is in front of us and anything is possible.

                                                                            Brycetothemoon

I also like taking pictures at the beginning and end of summer to see how much the boys grow.

It's been a while since I blogged, so I had a lot to say. So if it is ok with you.  Yes_2 I'll sign off. Come by and pick up what you need to get your summer scrapping going.

Mother's Day mini album

May is here and spring has finally arrived. yea.... Need a simple Mother's Day mini album? Look at the quick accordian album you can create. I had fun putting this one together, and I'm sure you will too. It makes a great gift. All it takes is the album, a few pieces of paper for backgrounds and the matching sticker embellishment sheet for the basics.

I've also made prom, father's day and school mini albums, so come by and check them out. You don't have to wrack your brain to come up with a clever gift. Below are a few of the pages. Go to gallery to see all the pages, under custom themed albums, accordian albums, Mother's Day 2, or here is the link (much easier):

Mom_minialbum_blog3

My mom  decided this year that ALL the men were going to make the Mother's Day meal at her house. It was funny when my Dad called my husband and told him what his assignment was. This should be interesting, they are great at grilling but side dishes???? We'll see. I'll let you know how it goes. Lol

40% Off Selected Items

My #2 Grandson, Bryce, just turned one. Here is a double page layout I did of his birthday party. I used the Numbered Paper by Scrappin Sports . We have 1 thru 10. I can think of lots of ways to use that paper besides birthdays. For example, the Number 10 - can be used for 10 things I love about you. Did I mention that it is double-sided paper?

  Bryce2bday07_2Bryce_bday07

We also marked down (40% OFF)the Photo Frames and Phrase Cafe album kits. They both are great for adding pictures without spending a lot of time in the decision making process. The photo frames come with an envelope, so add a picture and drop in the mail. (Great Mother's or Father's Day gift)..hint...hint.... The Phrase Cafe album kit has matching embellishments that add that special touch. Come by and check them out. They are on the back table.

Super Man - Super Dad

I know it isn't Father's Day yet but I wanted to show you this before I forget. When I saw these stickers I thought of my son-in-law. He is the father of 2 terrific toddlers that think the world of their Dad.  So, I think in their eyes, their Dad is the real SUPERMAN. (We will enjoy these days, they go quickly. )Smiley_face_clapping_his_hands
